The Global Uncrewed Traffic Management Association (GUTMA), with support from drone delivery specialist Wing, has established a new task force to develop a globally applicable guidance framework for Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) operations. Named the ‘Operator to UTM Service Provider SLA Framework Task Force,’ the initiative will focus on setting clear expectations and responsibilities between drone operators and UTM service providers to enable trusted and reliable BVLOS drone use.

The task force aims to deliver a standardized Service Level Agreement (SLA) model that streamlines collaboration and accountability. This framework is intended to ensure that third-party services supporting drone operations are both timely and dependable, ultimately strengthening mission success and operational trust.

GUTMA has opened the task force to its members, inviting applications from interested organizations that want to play an active role in shaping this important piece of global BVLOS guidance.
