AeroVironment (AV) has been awarded a significant five-year Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract worth $874.26 million by the U.S. Army. This contract will facilitate future Foreign Military Sales (FMS), enabling allied nations to acquire a comprehensive suite of AV’s battle-proven Group 1-3 unmanned aerial systems (UAS) and counter-UAS (C-UAS) solutions.
The contract covers specific variants of key platforms, including the JUMP 20™, P550™, Puma™, and Raven™ UAS, as well as the Titan C-UAS™ system, alongside essential training and logistics support. This streamlined procurement vehicle is designed to accelerate the delivery of critical, trusted autonomous technologies to partner forces worldwide.
“These lightweight, easily transportable systems provide warfighters with unparalleled mission flexibility, situational awareness, and protection,” said Justin McFarlin, AV’s Vice President of International Business Development. The portfolio addresses diverse operational needs: the VTOL JUMP 20 offers over 13 hours of endurance for persistent ISR; the new P550 eVTOL system delivers adaptable strike capabilities; the portable Puma excels in extreme environments; and the hand-launched Raven remains a globally deployed workhorse for tactical reconnaissance.
Complementing these assets, the Titan C-UAS system utilizes AI-driven analysis to detect and defeat drone threats while safeguarding friendly communications. With over 1,000 units deployed, it is a cornerstone for protecting critical infrastructure and frontlines.
