OOP & OOMV BVLOS Unlocked

Censys Technologies, a leader in BVLOS (Beyond Visual Line of Sight) solutions, proudly announces the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) approval of an expansive waiver. This waiver allows operations over people (OOP) and moving vehicles (OOMV), with Sentaero 5, an eVTOL fixed-wing drone, marking unparallel permissions that significantly widen operational scope for UAS operators across the United States.

The newly granted waiver significantly enhances Sentaero operators capacity, allowing the UAS to fly in areas where people and moving vehicles may be present, which is not a standard permission for UAS operators without a waiver. This advancement enables more comprehensive, effective and efficient data collection processes in limited exposure areas, where ground risk is manageable.

“Operating drones over people and moving vehicles without the need for visual observers brings into view urban infrastructure intelligence and a pathway for expansion.” said Trevor Perrott, CEO and Co-Founder of Censys Technologies. “First, I applaud the leadership from our phenomenal customers that brought this capability to civil airspace alongside Censys and the FAA. This is a huge milestone toward minimizing human risk in aviation and maximizing asset intelligence. The exciting part of this story is what follows; we enter the climb phase of flight.”

The approval of this waiver underscores Censys Technologies’ dedication to innovation and safety in UAS BVLOS operations. By expanding the operational envelope of UAS, Censys Technologies continues to revolutionize the way businesses operate, offering new opportunities for data collection and analysis across various industries.
