Quantum-Systems GmbH, an innovative designer, manufacturer, and developer of advanced Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS), announced the invention of the first VECTOR™ systems. The forefront UAS developer delivers the systems to the Dutch Ministry of Defense (MoD), together with BSS Holland BV. Quantum’s electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) systems provide long endurance, flexibility, and versatility, exceeding the performance of conventional UAS platforms.
Equipped with ultra-modern AI capabilities, the data assessment process of VECTOR™ is supported by automatic detection, tracking algorithms, and identification, providing on-the-ground tactical units with important safety benefits. With a solo flight time of 120 minutes, the VECTOR™ is appropriate for applications such as Search & Rescue (SAR), ISR for enhanced situational awareness, Convoy and VIP Protection, and Area mapping. It integrates dual Infra-Red (IR) and Electro-Optical (EO) gimbal sensors, enabling daily and night missions.
Furthermore, BSS Holland provides C5ISR and robotics solutions for defense mission gaps and challenging security. The alliance with Quantum-Systems is fascinated with building future readiness for the Tactical Edge and helping professionals in defense by offering state-of-the-art Unmanned Aircraft Systems. SCORPION™ 2-in-1 ISR system and Quantum-Systems’ VECTOR™ been part of the BSS Holland product portfolio since 2021.
BSS Holland reinforces the Dutch MoD with training, delivering, and providing service for their Light-Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems catalog by pre-identifying systems acceptable for the use of the MoD. The continuation of the drone catalog drastically reduces the extensive acquisition time agendas. The Dutch Ministry uses drones mainly for tasks in the field of Intelligence, Reconnaissance, and Surveillance.
