This will reinforce MarineGuard’s position as the market leader for marine security, developing superyacht security systems and products that have been installed on some of the most iconic and largest (100m+) superyachts in the world.
Based in Worksop, UK, and with clients across the globe, Drone Defence is a leading provider of drone countermeasure solutions. Drone Defence have developed a number of unique products within the drone defence industry that have been deployed in real world situations and locations with unrivalled success. The company has a wealth of experience in defence and security, combined with a deep understanding of the capabilities of drone technology and its potential.
Richard Webb, CEO of MarineGuard, discussed the driver behind the teaming agreement with Drone Defence, “The proliferation of drone technology has upped the anti in terms of delivering a technical solution to the growing threat for superyacht owners and managers. We carried out a review of the drone technology available, separated fact from fiction and, following a demonstration, found Drone Defence to have real capability in this space and a wealth of knowledge about the technology. Equally important, especially for the marine sector, was their approach from the user perspective.”
Webb added, “As a leading superyacht security provider it was essential that we continue to review and respond to the changing threats and technologies in support of our clients and their security. The technology available from Drone Defence, together with our expertise in marine security system design and installation, will allow us to address this threat in the marine market.”
Richard Gill, CEO of Drone Defence commented, “We believe that drones will change the way we view, interact with, and move around our planet. As with all technology there are those that will exploit it for the wrong reasons. We’ve developed technology that secures yachts, buildings, vehicles and larger infrastructure from drone incursions. It’s great to be announcing our relationship with MarineGuard, an organisation with a great reputation in the superyacht industry, and they understand the importance of technological solutions in combating security threats.”
